Puntland Authorities Decide Use Force Against pirates who Hijacked Russian Vessel. |

Bossaso, (InsideSomalia.org) Puntland authorities decided to use forces against Somali pirates who have hijacked a Russian vessel and an Omani boat at the coast off Bosaaso, said Puntland official.
Bile Mohmoud Qabowsade, the media advisor of Puntald commissioner speaking to Insidesomalia.org by the telephone line from Bosaaso said the Russian vessel and its crew members are safe but he said that the pirates took it around the coast of Eyl, a town in which the Omani vessel believed to be held too.
He said that Puntland Authorities decided sent its forces to rescue the hijacked vessels including the Russian tug hijacked by armed militias five days ago.
"We are against those owners who are negotiating with the pirates who demand ransom for the release of the vessels, it against the international law and we can not accept it " said Bile Qabowsade.
Puntland was known to be less violent to south Somalia but recently hard hit by waves of violence, pirate attacks, kidnapping and roadside bombing, say residents and authorities said that crackdown of the culprits behind is going on after the provincial place Bosaaso place under night curfew.
