High Insecurity between the Road that Links Mogadishu and Baidoa

Mogadishu, (insidesomalia.org) - The number of banditry in the road between Mogadishu and Baidoa town is reported to reaching climax in the past recent days. The travelers travailing on that road are frequently complaining constant robbery. 

 

"This is the time to say enough is enough "says Yussuf Ali a truck driver who usually transports goods from the capital Mogadishu to the southern commercial town Baidoa which is 245km west of the capital Mogadishu.

 

"The most serious place where were, are attacked is between Lego location and Burhakaba district in Bay region.

 

"They take whatever they see us having such as cell phones, money, gold and other valuable things" said Jamila Ahmed robbed passenger. 

 

The travelers who frequently use this road are those people who are fleeing from the capital Mogadishu and few businessmen.

 

Sometimes these brigands open fire to the vehicles without firing a warning shot into the air and kill passengers and drivers and only in last month they have killed almost 15 travelers. 

 

Sometimes the insurgents clear these bandits from the road between Mogadishu and Bay region.
