Mogadishu, (insidesomalia.org) - The Islamic Courts Union in Somalia officially said that they would take steps against those who rebuff the old one thousand Somali shillings, which is currently the merely monetary unit in Somalia.

The spokesman of the Islamic Courts Union Sheikh Mohamud Ibrahim Suley has absolutely endorsed the meeting between the religious clerics, and Mogadishu traders, which they mainly focused on how to implement the ignored Somali one thousand shillings which has created high tension in the country as a whole.

Sheikh Suley the spokesman of the Islamic Courts Union has reiterated that who ever is seen having the new fake money would face the music.

“It is time to say enough is enough and we can not tolerate beyond this and words are final and no more advise” said sheikh Suley.

“We clearly know those individuals who brought the fake money and they are our next target point,” added Sheikh Suley.

The sheikh also added that the Ethiopians want their monetary unit the Bir to be used in the country and he said unacceptable.

“We going to fight with the so called Bir as we are now fighting with the Ethiopians” Suley said.

In the recent days there was chaos in the capital Mogadishu and some other parts of the country regarding about the rejection of the old one thousand Somali shillings note.
