Mogadishu, (insidesomalia.org)-More than 50 diarrhea patients including infants were admitted at Banadir Mother and Child hospital in past 24 hours the Somali capital Mogadishu.
Most of these patients were brought from the suburbs and inside the capital 35 out of the 50 are reported to be in very critical condition.
Two of the diarrhea patients have last night died of the diarrhea; the new diarrhea admission cases are rapidly increasing in the hospital.
“We would assist these Somali patients as much as we can and yet we haven’t got any helping hand from anybody said the director of Banadir MCH Mr. Mohamed Isse speaking to Somaliweyn radio through the wire.
Likewise the hospital director explicitly added that the profile of the hospital lower than the professional standard particularly the diarrhea section.
There is no organization whether local or international involved in equipping the hospital. Banadir hospital is among the few hospital which operative in the war wracked capital Mogadishu.
During the hot seasons and the rainy seasons cholera and diarrhea cases is in the peak.
