Afgoi,(insidesomalia.org)-The entire mercantile in Afgoi district some 30km from the Somali capital Mogadishu have this morning closed down all their business centers, due to the fear from vexed population.

The inhabitants in the district were very much annoyed for the district traders due to the rejection of the old one thousand Somali shillings note.

There was no single business point opened this morning, and the district dwellers were going round the district to see if at all there is any business place opened.

This issue came after the police commander of lower Shabelle region officially said that there is nobody who can reject the old one thousand not.

The district on the side did not open their business enters this morning scaring from the annoyed residents.

It was early last month when the inhabitants of Afgoi district staged demonstrations towards the traders’ rebuff of the old one thousand notes.

The officials of the region as whole have talked about the rejection of the old one thousand shillings which is now the merely Somali currency in use, but their words were not take from their feet.

It is not the first time business centers to be closed in the district but there were several other times.
