Around 6am in the morning on Tuesday, 11th September the Soldiers from T.F.G. of Somalia and Ethiopian army have closed of Bakaraaha market in Mogadishu and have started to search business and homes in the area. Roads leading to Bakaraaha have been cordoned off including main road, Road 30 used to enter / exit the market and road leading Hoolwadaag neighborhood. The public and businessmen have been refused entry as search continued, gunfire could be heard and no fatalities have been reported yet. The market has been peacefully recently with increased presence of T.F.G Police at main cross roads such as Howlwadaag and Baar Ubax. The close of Bakaraaha will cause hardship for people who earn their daily income with very little assistance. The holy month of Ramadan is fast approaching and many people in regions depend on market for goods to shipped out. Closure is causing wider problems then to people of Mogadishu.
