Heavy fighting Erupts in Parts of Mogadishu |

Mogadishu,(InsideSomalia.org) Heavy fighting has erupted on Monday
evening at the industrial Street of south Mogadishu, say reports.
Heavy gunfire, mortar shells and hand grenade propelled rockets were
heard around the capital generating tension and fear among the few
remaining residents in the area in which the fighting took place.
The fighting started when armed men believed to be insurgents launched.
Attack on Ethiopian military base at the former ministry of Defense
and later the fighting spread along other positions including Shirkole
neighborhood and former cigarette factory, said Mohamed Ahmed Gedi a resident speaking Inside Somalia By the telephone line.
Similarly, government have on Monday blockaded the main entrance of the Bakara area generating tension among business people and many parts of market were not functioning for the second day.
