Bakara Market Community Appealed the TFG Government

Mogadishu, (insidesomalia.org) - The traders of Bakara Bazaar the largest commercial point in Somalia have requested from the Somali transitional federal government to collect the tax in Somali shillings.

Ali Mohamed Siyad the chairman of Bakara Market has demand from the TFG of Somalia to collect the income tax in Somali shillings instead of US dollars.

“It is only that the main Mogadishu seaport is where the government collects money in Dollar terms, but in the other places tax is collect in Somali shillings form.

The chairman of Bakara Market Mr. Ali Dere also added that the rejection of the old one thousand notes are no longer in place and it now widely accepted in the capital Mogadishu and the other rejoins where the use of the old and rough one thousand note was no accepted.

To collect the tax in Somali shillings will help a lot in the current inflations in the country as whole.

This statement from the chairman of Bakara Bazaar coincides with a time when the TFG has several times repeated to collect the tax money in Somali shillings.
