Mogadishu, (insidesomlia.org) - Two Spanish aid workers with The medical charity of Medicines sans Frontiers were kidnapped on Wednesday by gunmen in Boosaaso, the capital of the semi-autonomous regional state of Puntland, Somalia.
The aid workers were heading to a local hospital after six armed men approached them then blocking the road, says their driver speaking in anonymity to Reuters.

“We heard that two Spanish women working for MSF have been abducted, we are investigating” said deputy governor of Boosaaso, Yuusuf Muumin.
The latest abductions comes after two days freelance militias released French journalist Gwan Li Giuon , whom they held for eight days apparently demanding 80,000 US Dollars.
For years Puntland was relatively calm and stable due to chaotic south Somalia has become increasingly associated with piracy, kidnap and hijacking for ransom.
Somali has been hostile environment to foreign journalists and aid workers, some of whom have been killed or kidnapped because of violence and lawlessness.
