Bakol, (insidesomalia.org)- Somali Islamists kidnapped two Danish United Nations workers in the Bakool region of southern Somalia on Saturday, residents said.

Heavily armed Islamists attacked Hudur town the headqurters of Bakool region in southern Somalia.

The Islamists then kidnapped two Danish men working for Mine Action (U.N.) who were giving seminars on clearing land mines," resident Hassan Noor Ali told InsideSomalia website.

Kidnapping is a lucrative business in Somalia, and hostages are normally treated well in anticipation of large ransoms.
