Demonstration in Hargeisa Cause Death and Injuries

Muuqaalka dad reer hargeysa ah oo mudaharaadayaHargeysa,(insidesomalia.org)- People died and others wounded in demonstration in Hargeisa, the violent demonstration started from Hargeisa main Bridge and ended at Masalaaha a section of Hargeisa.

 

These protesters started protesting after a drilling rig which was digging wells at Masalah section was diverted to Borama in Awdal region.   

 

The security forces intercepted these protesters who were vandalizing everything that come to their way, and in this case the security forces and the demonstrators collided.

 

The porters were throwing rocks at security forces that came to their way, and in response the police opened fire at the protesters after the could not in due any longer.

 

So far two people were wounded one on the belly and the other on the left leg, and are now treated at Hargeisa main hospital.   

 

Inside Somalia website attempted to contact the police chief of Hargeisa Mr. Saqadi Dubad, but he said he is little bit committed now, and cannot give details regarding about the demonstration
