Mogadishu — Major Brighye Bahoku, the spokesman of the African Union troops (AMISOM) has Wednesday harshly denied the accusations against their soldiers for targeting Bakara, the biggest market in the Somali capital Mogadishu. The spokesman said that reports saying that AMISOM bombed the residential areas in Mogadishu especially Bakara market were false saying that they had also discussed that issue with the transitional government of Somalia. The transitional government had recently said that they will search the mortar shells that AMISOM troops targeted to Bakara market which left more lives and injures recently. Major Brigye Bahuko said that they had been in Mogadishu for more than 2 years and half denying that they had never targeted Bakara market pointing out that the shelling continued in Somalia specially Mogadishu even before their arrival in the capital. It is not the first time that AMISOM troops' officials disprove bitter shelling targeted to Bakara market and the residential areas of the Somali capital Mogadishu. On the other hand the African Union troops' spokesman had talked about the complaints of the Somali fishers in the coasts of Mogadishu and warned them to be away from the areas of the AMISOM troops where he said that their troops were assuring the security of the international airport of Aden Adde. He said that they respected the Somali fisher men saying that it was good for the Somalis to search the fish far away areas from their troops pointing out that the fish was not before the African Union troops (AMISOM).
