France utterly condemns the dreadful attack that has just taken place in Mogadishu against the African Union Mission in Somalia and has resulted in many casualties. We are examining methods, in particular military-based methods, of coming swiftly to the aid of the injured. We also reaffirm our full support for the Transitional Federal Government, which is the only legitimate political authority in Somalia. France, like all of the international community, stands alongside the TFG and its president, Sheikh Sharif.
